Kerry Anne Thoubboron, 31, Passed After Battle With Melanoma
The memorial services have been announced for Kerry Anne Thoubboron, a beloved 31-year-old daughter, sister, friend and cat-mom who recently passed on December 6, 2023 following a year-long battle with melanoma cancer. She spent her final days surrounded by loved ones who will deeply miss her kindness, smile, and laugh.
Kerry was born on April 16, 1992 in Bennington, Vermont and spent her childhood in nearby Richmond. She later attended Boston University where she graduated with a degree in Environmental Studies, fueling her passion for sustainability. This led Kerry to a career at Energy Sage, where she met some of her closest friends – brilliant minds also dedicated to bettering the world.
Over the years, Kerry built an extended family spanning her Vermont roots, college days in Boston, and time abroad in New Zealand. She somehow connected these various chapters of her life, bringing people together in lasting friendship. Tragically, these bonds now provide solace as communities mourn her early passing at just 31 years old.
Kerry leaves behind her parents Patty Douglas and John Thoubboron, sisters Tara and Lily, brothers Riley and Norman, grandfather Jim, aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and her beloved cat Edward. They will miss every part of her – especially her kindness, smile that lit up any room, and contagious laugh that embodied her zest for life.
Her loved ones also want to recognize the dedicated medical teams at Beth Israel Deaconess and Massachusetts General Hospital who provided exceptional, compassionate care alongside Kerry until the very end. Their personal support brought comfort during an impossibly difficult ordeal.
Memorial services to honor Kerry’s remarkable life will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023. A memorial mass will take place at 9:30AM at St. Peter’s Parish in Cambridge, MA. This will be followed by a celebration of life from 2:30-5:30PM at Aeronaut Cannery in Everett, MA. All whose lives Kerry impacted are welcome to attend and support her grieving family.
At just 31 years old, Kerry Anne Thoubboron embodied love, selflessness and determination until the very end. Her passions fueled purpose towards creating a cleaner, kinder world while building lasting connections across various chapters of life. While cancer tragically cut short her aspirations, Kerry’s legacy shines on through the many lives she touched so deeply in 31 short but truly meaningful years.
All who knew and adored Kerry will feel her absence for years to come. But they can take comfort in the rich memories of adventures together, boundless laughter, and the communities she wove for this very moment – when friends need friends to lean on most after such devastating loss. Her obituary stands as just a snapshot of the vibrant, compassionate soul gone far too soon but never forgotten.
